- Next, we take comfortable digital impressions of your teeth. The data we collect is then used with specialized software to develop a 3-D model of your teeth. Our doctors use this model to plan out the movement of your teeth through each stage of treatment.
- We send your treatment plan to an Invisalign lab that prepares a series of clear plastic aligners according to our specifications.
- Each set of aligner trays is unique and customized to move your teeth into the desired position gradually.
- Our doctors will instruct you to wear each set for 22 hours a day for about two weeks and then move to the next set of aligners.
You will proceed like this, step by step, until all you have used all your aligners and treatment is complete. The number of aligners needed varies significantly from patient to patient. Some cases require as many as 30 to 40 sets to achieve the desired results.
